Where is Highline? I am not familiar with this ride and cannot find it on the trail descriptions. Anyone going?

The Highline trail is a relatively new trail in Canmore. The only map I could find online is here: kananaskisblog.com/highline-trail-revisited/2010/The meeting spot for tomorrow will be Stoney recycle bins at the usual 5:45 (leave by 6 sharp). Otherwise, meet at the trailhead by 7pm ready to ride! I suggest meeting at the Quarry Lake parking lot in Canmore. It is indicated on the map, if you are driving on Smithdorian / Spray Lakes Trail towards the Nordic Centre, you turn left about 1-2 km before the Nordic Centre into a parking lot beside Quarry Lake. Does anyone else have suggestions about how to do this ride? It looks like there are a bunch of loops to choose from so hopefully someone is familiar with the trails. I have ridden it once and it was awesome! But of course I don't remember it that well Ramona

Hey Everyone,
I'd really like to check out Highline, but with it being an evening ride I'd like to know if there will be someone that knows the trail heading out. No fun route finding when the sun goes behind the mountains, even if it is Soltice season.
Thanks --carthy

I rode Highline in Canmore today (plus a couple other sections of EKG and a purple trail) and had a FANTASTIC time! The trails are in great shape, a bit soft from the moisture but not wet, great riding.
One word of caution: we ran into a grizzly with 2 cubs at the junction of Banff Trail and Grey Wolf Trail. She wasn't aggressive nor was she afraid of us. The cubs were cute as they scrambled up a tree, but too close for comfort!!! This is at the end-ish part of the Nordic Centre, but be aware that they are in the area.

Prepared for the ride today - the more the merrier especially with bears in the area. Who else is going?

I would really like to ride Highline tonight as I've heard a lot of great things about this trail. I haven't ridden in the area so don't know my way around however have a GPS that I may be able to figure out.... I can probably take two other riders if anyone wants to carpool?

I'd like to try and make the ride tonight. I rode Highline last year and it was worth the climb for sure! On Sunday we rode the orange trail at the nordic center and saw a small-ish black bear ... so they are definetly in the area. The more people that turn out to ride the better!

Looks like there are up to 6 of us for tonight! This is a good sized group - we will have to make lots of noise. Will be at the carpool lot, see you there.

The weather in Calgary looks horrible... anyone know what the forecast is for Canmore?

Hey Gals,
Just wanted to let you know that I won't be making it tonight. I've been feeling under the weather all afternoon and was hoping that by now I'd feel better. I don't want to slow the group down and would like to try to get out tomorrow so will just rest up tonight.
For those who make it, have a great ride!
