Objectives: to raise our level of mountain biking knowledge and gain confidence in basic riding skills, including selection and preparation of clothing and equipment, body positioning, pedaling, shifting, braking, climbing, descending, and general bike handling, for safe enjoyment of mountain biking activities.
Format: small groups of 7 or 8 riders progress around the training course set up with various pylons, obstacles and demonstration features, learning and practicing skills with individual or paired instructors, for two morning sessions and one afternoon session, followed by a practical ride on actual offroad trails.
Lunch:
We will break for lunch after the two morning sessions, at approximately 12 noon
Shelter:
We expect to be outside the entire day, though we will have access to shelter if weather becomes inclement.
Washrooms:
There are washroom facilities on-site.

bike gloves (long or short-finger gloves, your preference)
optional knee pads, shin pads, forearm pads or wrist guards
