Rode Telephone Loop last night. Lots of puddles and the "bog" section was disgusting and for several hundred metres after it was essentially unrideable (just too rutted out). A few trees down on the trail, but many were jumpable. It was my first time riding it, so I'm not sure if it was in good or bad shape compared to normal, but it was sure muddy for an August ride

It's always that way and with the summer we have had it just hasn't had a change to dry out. I rode it about 3 weeks ago and didn't think it was to bad considering the amount of rain. It's just a boggy trail...one day when they do the re-route it will be soooo much better. If it says dry between now and next week it should be ok for the club ride.

Just rode it today and it's in the same condition... lots of mud, but so much fun! Kim

Hmm - the K-country trail report also mentions the downed trees -http://tpr.alberta.ca/parks/kananaskis/XCSkiTrails%20Reports/Elbow.pdf do you guys think its bad enough to re-schedule the ride on Wednesday? I can call the Elbow Park Info centre tomorrow but if they got lots of rain this weekend the trail could be its usual boggy self...
